On July 2, 2023, Mildred F. Faria, loving wife, daughter, sister , aunt, and grandmother passed away. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Lorenzo Carniglia, her siblings Jack Carniglia, Lawrence Carniglia, Daniel Carniglia, Carol Carniglia, Julene Carniglia, and her former spouses James Gonzales and Richard Faria. Millie is survived by her sisters and brother in law, Gloria Carniglia, Ken and Sandra Byrne, as well as nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Mildred was born and raised in San Francisco, CA with the majority of her time in Potrero Hill before landing in Walnut Creek, CA. Millie loved her home in Walnut Creek and cherished time in her arts and craft room. Millie was quite a skilled crafter. Every young person in Millie's life enjoyed the fruits of her labor, receiving holiday crafts, blankets, quilts, and many homemade Halloween costumes. Millie also loved gardening and spending time in her courtyard. Millie took pleasure watching her wind chimes blow in the wind. Millie also loved to gamble and was a champ at Keno.
We are all so grateful that Millie was able to stay in her home. She was supported by a great caregiving staff and shared smiles with everyone that ever spent time with her. She will be missed.
Family and close friends are invited to attend services at Duggan's Serra Mortuary in Daly City on Wednesday, July 12 @ 10 a.m with funeral service at Holy Cross Cemetery to follow.

Dear Carol, Sandy and Family
I was sadden to read of Millie's death. The last time I saw he was at Dick's funeral. As you know I worked with Millie for years at Met Life and we spent our daily breaks talking and working on our various projects. I considered her a good friend and even though we had not seen one another since our retirement, I thought of her often. Millie was a lucky gambler and she loved her crafts. May she rest in peace and may happy memories be a comfort. I realize you are still mourning the death of Julie so this is a difficult time for your family. Love, Agnes
