Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on November 7th, 2013. Nancy is survived by her loving family, husband of 52 years, Duane, her children Michael and Jenifer, daughter in law Angie Bright, and loving grandson Michael Bright. Also survived by her sisters Sandra Savage (Wayne), and Diana Stallings Tilley, her brother Brian Stallings, and many special cousins, nieces, and nephews, who all loved her very much.
Nancy was born in South San Francisco and grew up in San Bruno, attending Capuchino High School. She married her husband Duane in 1962, and they raised their family in Burlingame, later moving to many cities on the Peninsula, pursuing Duane's construction and Nancy's real estate careers.
Nancy was active her entire life in activities surrounding her Norwegian heritage, including a lifelong membership in the Sons of Norway, and a place very special to her, Kings Mountain (Henrik Ibsen Park) in Woodside. Nancy was also an avid quilter, cook, hostess, bridge player, and loved to read. Nancy's most special attribute was the way she nurtured and maintained her friendships and close family bonds. She was one of the most generous and warm hearted people any of us have known. She gave her all until the end, and will be greatly, greatly missed.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 16th, from 2-5 pm at Henrik Ibsen Park, 13800 Skyline Blvd, Woodside, CA

We are saddened and extend our sympathy to all members of Nancy's family. Duane has been in our lives since we were little kids and visited back and forth between Wabasha and White Bear Lake. We consider all of you part of our extended family and pray for all of you. May Nancy rest in peace.

I remember Mrs. Bright as Mike's mom when we were kids. She was always warm, generous and welcoming when we tromped around her house during the early 1970s. May her memory be a blessing to her family and friends.
