Nelly Garay Barrera passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 10th with her family by her side. Nelly was born on February 7, 1934 in San Francisco, CA. to Lita Santiago and Nemesio Garay. She will be reunited with her husband Ygnacio M. Barrera.
Nelly is survived by her son Carlos, daughters Gladys (Alfonso), Teresa (Richard), Gloria, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, sister Lilly Garay, 5 sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City on July 22 from 4PM to 8PM, and Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma, CA on July 23 at 10:30AM.
