Patricia Diller Obituary

Patricia Lynn Diller After a courageous eight year battle with breast cancer, Tricia passed away peacefully early morning on January 29th at the age of 52. Tricia is survived by her loving family, husband Jim, children James and Devon, parents Joan and Bill Cox, brother Bill, sister Joan Davidson, in-laws Jim Sr. and June, brother Jeff, sister in-law Natalie and their families. Born in San Francisco, Tricia graduated from Saratoga High and later UCLA. Her husband did manage to convert her to a Bear fan. After a 16 year distinguished career in planning at National Semiconductor, Tricia decided to retire and focus on her husband, starting a family, the garden and getting a dog. Moving to Woodside in 2000, Tricia quickly found a way to apply her professional skills, becoming deeply involved in school activities and programs, the Woodside School Foundation and planning the school's fundraising auction. As one Mom said, she was an anchor for so many in the community and a center of our Woodside world. The center of Tricia's world was her family and with them, she loved to ski, tube, sail, golf & travel all over the world. Her special places were Hanalei and Tahoe. Tricia will forever be remembered for the way she embraced life, her infectious laugh, her focus on family and community, her leadership, her hands on role as a organizer and her genuine care of people. On top of all that, she knew how to have a good time. The summary statement of Tricia's life is that she continued to give herself fully to family and community while she privately battled breast cancer. Tricia will be greatly missed. A celebration of Tricia's life will be held on Feb 28th at 3:00pm at Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at Stanford University for Breast Cancer research the family asks that you make donations to Stanford University, include on the check "Tricia Diller Cancer Research Fund". Sorry to hear of Tricia´s passing. I found out quite by accident. She was an amazing person. I have many fond memories of our time together. I wish you the best to you and your kids.
I also recently heard of Bill´s passing. I hope Joan is still doing well. She was a wonderful mother in law. I really loved her. Dolly as well.
