Patsy Ruth Parton

Patsy Ruth (Elrod) Parton 83, passed away on March 7, 2009. Born in Slaton, TX, Patsy grew up in Amarillo, TX, and graduated from Amarillo High School. As a young woman, Patsy worked at Natural Gas Pipeline in Amarillo before marrying Jeff Parton. Patsy and Jeff lived in Texas, New Orleans and Boston before moving to Greenbrae, CA, where they have lived for the last 31 years. Patsy loved nature and art and often painted still life pictures of flowers. Her beauty and gentle spirit will be greatly missed. Patsy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jeff Parton; her children, Rebecca Parton of Dallas, GA, Anne Parton Steiner (John) of Stockton, CA, and Walter Parton (Joanne) of Walnut Creek, CA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Corey and Chelsea McCaa, John Steiner, Samantha Parton, and Jeff Parton. Patsy leaves two sisters, Shirley Hughes of Dallas, TX, and Laura Storseth of Amarillo TX, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
