Paul Arretche Obituary

Paul Arretche
January 28, 1961 - January 16, 2023
It is with great sadness that Paul left us and passed into the arms of our Heavenly Father on January 16, 2023 at the age of 61. Paul was born on January 28th 1961 in Stockton California. Beloved husband of 33 years to Tina Pinochi Arretche. Adored father to Daniel and Nicole. Loving son of the late Jean and Louisa Arretche. Brother of Claude (Eneida). Uncle of Derek and Eneida Luisa Rosales. Paul will be missed by his father and mother in law Alberto and Giuliana Pinochi. Brother in law David Pinochi (Kirsten). Uncle of Kristina, Joseph, Jared and Megan. Paul was a beloved cousin, relative, and friend to many here and the Basque Country who will forever miss his kindness, gentle manner, and infectious smile. Above all, Paul loved his family. He enjoyed the outdoors including skiing, camping, fishing and hunting. Paul was in the wine industry for over 30 years. He enjoyed a good glass a wine with family and friends, walking his beloved Buster and Lucky, listening to country music, and loved his red pickup truck. You could find him in his recliner cheering on the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Giants and the 49ers. He was a proud member of the Basque Cultural Center. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Paul's memory to the Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue Foundation, for his love of dogs. Friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday January 28th at 10:30 am for mass at Mater Dolorosa 307 Willow Ave, South San Francisco CA 94080. Private burial services will be held.

So sad to hear this news today. Our family will miss his chats in Mollie Stones and in Starbucks - a very kind and compassionate soul
He was extremely thoughtful and caring when my husband passed away and he guided us in the purchases of wonderful beverages for my daughters wedding having known my husband and what he would have liked at the wedding
We asked many times at Mollie Stones lately about him
I hope they were good to this man who was part of the fabric of our community
May God bless his family

We will miss you tremendously, Tato. I will miss cooking with you at our Italian club picnics, taking a pull of your flask at the Befana, and hearing your roaring reactions to the outlandish, silly things I say.

May you rest in heavenly peace in the kingdom of heaven. We love you Tato Paul.

With love,
Robert DeMartini

Paul was a wonderful friend and colleague at Mollie Stone's Tower Market. He would always stop by the dairy department and check in with me in the morning with his cup of coffee in his hand. When I was having a rough day he would always encourage me and tell me it'll be okay. I will miss our chats, his giggling laugh, and his genuine concern for me. My condolences to his wife, kids, and family. Paul will never be forgotten.
