March 21, 1930 - January 3, 2016
Beloved husband, composer, teacher passed peacefully having lived a life filled with love and music. Survived by his devoted wife of 48 years: Victoria Hurd.Memorial mass at Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland Friday January 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Upon seeing something online about the Wyeth and Hurd families I decided to Google Peter Wyeth Hurd and learned he had passed away in 2016. I had several of his classes as a music theory major at SMU in the 1958-1961 range, and have always been grateful for the thoroughness with which he taught his classes and his helpfulness to me in those times.
