TO LILY, NINO & THE REST OF THE FAMILY. PAT & I WERE VERY SORRY TO HEAR OF "UNCLE PETE'S " PASSING. HE WAS A GREAT MAN & A WONDERFUL FRIEND TO ALL WHO KNEW HIM. HE & YOUR MOM & ALL OF YOU KIDS & THE GRANDKIDS WELCOMED US INTO YOUR FAMILY AS SOON AS WE MET & FOR US IT WAS WONDERFUL. WE WILL ALWAYS CHERISH ALL THE GOOD TIMES & ALL THE HOLIDAYS WE SPENT TOGETHER, EITHER AT BURLINGAME OR UP AT TRUCKEE. HE BECAME MORE OF A FATHER TO US THAN OUR OWN FATHERS & WE MISS THAT. I JUST WISH HE COULD HAVE COME TO VEGAS TO SEE OUR HOUSE. I JUST WANT TO RELATE A LITTLE STORY. WHEN PAT & I FIRST MOVED TO CALIFORNIA, PETE WAS DRIVING ME AROUND TO LOOK AT APTS & HE SAW I WAS GETTING OVERWHELMED BECAUSE I DIDN'T REALLY KNOW WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. AFTER WE LEFT THE 3RD PLACE WEE GOT BACK IN THE CAR & HE TOLD ME "JUST TAKE IT EASY, YOU'LL KNOW THE RIGHT PLACE AS SOON AS YOU SEE IT", hE CALMED ME RIGHT DOWN WITH THAT & YEARS LATER WHEN WE CAME TO VEGAS, AS SOON AS WE WALKED INTO OUR HOUSE, HIS WORDS CAME BACK TO ME, YOU'LL KNOW IT WHEN YOU SEE IT", AND HE WAS SO RIGHT. THE MINUTE WE WALKED IN HERE, WE JUST KNEW IT & 11 YEARS LATER WE ARE STILL SO HAPPY HERE. HE WAS AN INCREDIBLE GENTLE MAN, ONE OF A KIND & I KNOW I SPEAK FOR MANY WHEN I SAY HOW MUCH HE WILL BE MISSED. THE ONLY GOOD PART IS THAT I SEE HIM WITH PEGGY (LOOKING LIKE THEY DID WHEN THEY GOT MARRIED), HOLDING HANDS & SMILING DOWN AT ALL OF US. TO LIVE IN HEARTS WE LEAVE BEHIND IS NOT TO DIE. GOOD NIGHT & REST IN PEACE DEAR FRIEND. LOVE, DIANE & PAT & "THE BUBBA" CAPPOLLA, LAS VEGAS, NV & "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" & I'M SURE SPENDING IT WITH PEGGY IS GREAT.

Romano Family: Sorry to hear of Petes Passing.I remember doing tree work in Truckee.Pete was a good man.I enjoyed talking with him when he used to come to visit Peggy at Candlestick.
