We always enjoyed Phil and his stories. He was a strong intellect with a feisty sense of humor. He helped us refinance our home, sorting through the barrage of paperwork we found so intimidating that we almost didn't do it. He took the mystery out of the process. We have enjoyed watching Phil and Jane's children, David and Karen, grow into talented and responsible adults, taking their places in the Bay Area community in ways that make their parents proud. Phil was an unusual guy. He knew a lot about a lot of things. He was a writer and we enjoyed reading some of his screenplays. If you needed to know something you could always ask Phil. We miss him.
