The beloved Phyllis Madonna Butler (Bongfeldt) passed away on Friday July 12th, 2024. Phyllis was born on October 4th, 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Henry and Edna Bongfeldt. She is the oldest of four siblings. Phyllis is a proud alumni of Broad Ripple high school of Indianapolis, graduating in 1951. Phyllis married Kenneth Jr. in 1954 followed by two children. Together they lived throughout the United States, eventually returning to the Bay Area.
Phyllis enjoyed exploring all Sonoma County has to offer, whether it be wine tasting or volunteering at the Charles Schulz Museum. She was an avid golfer until late in life, even accomplishing two holes in one. Phyllis loved to play cards – whether it be Bridge, or Texas Hold'em she loved playing with great friends, always giving them a run for their money.
Phyllis is survived by her two children Kenneth III (Judy), and Kimberly (Alexander Popoff III), and her four grandchildren, Zoya, Natasha, Haven, and Dimitri. Phyllis was known for sharing their successes with all who would listen.
Celebration of life will be held later this fall. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Arthritis Foundation or PGA Jr. League Scholarship Fund.

Phyllis was such sweet lady and my Mom's best friend when they both moved to Windsor. I took Phyllis to lunch several months ago and we had a lovely time catching up. I am so sorry for your loss and I have very fond memories of Phyllis and my Mom's adventures. Now Phyllis is off on her next adventure. She will be missed by many.
