Raymond Bias Obituary

Raymond Carl Bias Raymond passed away at the age of 86 on Sept. 5, 2006 after a brief illness. He was born in Huntington, WV, on February 24, 1920. In 1956, he moved to San Francisco from the Washington DC area. For many years he worked at Manning's Cafeteria and retired from there in March 1984. He was a member of SFCB&SE, Union #2. After retiring, he worked at Paul's Flowers at the cable car line at Market and Powell into his early 80's. Raymond had a passion for bowling and won many trophies for which he was very proud. He also loved to travel and made trips to most of the US states and to Hong Kong, Burma, Japan, Thailand, Philippines and Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents Elbert and Ida Bias; two brothers, Elbert and Richard Bias. He is survived by his loving sister Clara L. Bias of MD; cousin, Boyd Lee Templeton of SF, CA; niece and her husband, Colleen and Bill Chaffee of NY; niece, Paula Epperly of FL; cousin, Louis High of WV; and cousin, Don High of MD. The family is grateful to the staff of Kaiser Permanente and Tunnell Center for Rehabilitation in San Francisco. Interment will be private at the Columbarium San Francisco by the Neptune Society. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
