October 30, 1927 - November 16, 2015
Raymond P. Chelone, "Papa", 88, of Vallejo passed away peacefully at San Ramon Regional Hospital. He was born in San Francisco, raised in Colma, California and has called Vallejo his home for the past 25 years. He worked as a Truck Driver for Safeway Stores and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #315 for 33 years.Raymond was an active parishioner of St. Dominic's Church, and was the honorary "Mayor" of Quiet Harbor Development. He was a fan of both the New York Yankees and the San Francisco 49ers. He spent weekends umpiring for local baseball teams and loved attending his grandsons baseball and soccer games.
Raymond is survived by his children, Alison (Chuck) Bell and Michael (Susan) Chelone; grandchildren Nicole (Andrew), Nick & Tony Bell, Michele (Cliff) Hall and Daniel Chelone, and his two greatest grand-girls, Bella & Cassie Hall.
"Papa Ray" will be buried along side Alice, his beloved wife of 54 years, who passed away in 2002. Private burial will be in St. Dominic's Cemetery, Benicia. Family prefers donations to St. Dominic's Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, Benicia.

My Uncl Ray was always funny when family got together always joking especially the time Queen Isabella and Christopher Columbus were interviewed in Italian...you just had to be there to appreciate the humor.
