I remember playing with Ray at the San Francisco Junior tournament at Harding Park in 1968. What a nice young man and excellent golfer. Sad to learn that he passed away so early in life.

Ray was my best buddy in high school. We lived a couple blocks from each other and hung out a lot. Ray used to take me to Harding Park to play some golf. I was not much of a golfer but he was amazing. Ray even got me a summer job at the driving range there. I used to drive that little cage truck around picking up balls while he used various clubs hitting balls at me. We had a blast. Miss you Ray.

Such suffering Ray endured. The only solace is he's at peace. And, certainly will be missed by many. Our hearts and sympathy are with you.

Condolences to the Pellegrini Family. I'll always remember the Friday rabbits at Harding followed by sessions at the Boathouse, topped off by slipping Pete a few bucks to jump the line at Joe's.
I'm still trying to emulate you by knocking in 3 footers like they were tap ins.
Rest in Peace, Ray

I first remember meeting Ray when I was a teenager playing golf at the Olympic Club. Over the years we became goods friends and someone I admired. Over the past couple of years, Ray and I spent lots of time on the range hitting balls and talking about the old days. Ray, I will truly miss you... Rich Rovetti

I was terribly saddened to hear of Ray's passing. My son and I got to know him the last few years and spent many hours talking to him about golf on the range at the Olympic Club. I can still hear him saying, "watch me hit one more." Ray actually gave me a brief golf lesson about 6 months ago and told me some of the things that his instructor taught him like "girl on a swing" and "light on the right." I still have those notes on my phone.
He was one of a kind. We will miss him.
