September 4, 1939 - November 28, 2021
Richard John Faziola, 82, died of natural causes on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021 at Seton Hospital in Daly City. Born Sept. 4, 1939 in San Francisco as the only child of Lorenzo and Angela Faziola, he joined the Sunset Scavenger Company and worked as a truck driver for 40 years before retirement. He loved the tranquil serenity of Lake Tahoe, where he enjoyed boating, driving his snow mobile, and watching his son ski. An avid collector of vehicles, he always aspired to have his own auto shop and restore his cherry '71 Corvette. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Hilda, by his loving son, Lawrence (Tara), and by his granddaughter, Ava. His sharp wit will be missed by many, but he will always be in our hearts forever.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City, where there will be a viewing on 12/7, 4-8pm with vigil at 6pm. Mass will be on 12/8, 1pm at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 451 Eucalyptus Dr, San Francisco, followed by burial and committal at 2:30pmat the Italian Cemetery, with reception to follow. Masks are required when indoors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your charity of choice.
