Richard Mansfield Romley Jr, 59, of Carnation, WA, died unexpectedly after a stroke. Trained as a mechanical engineer at San Diego State University, he was passionate about helping patients through medical device innovation, and held numerous patents for these devices. He was also an avid mountain biker, a gourmet cook, and loved to travel with his wife. At the time of his death, he was the VP of R&D at Flowonix, in Mansfield, MA. He is survived by his wife, Nicki, his children Kurtis, Victoria, Hanna, and Grace Romley and stepchildren Guerin and Nicholas Schillreff. Rick is remembered for his generosity, concern for others, and as a devoted and loving husband and father. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made payable to Nicki Romley and sent to Ms. Erin Slagter, 8210 154th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052, for deposit into the Romley Family Education Fund.
