Robert "Bob" Chin
November 13, 1933 - November 29, 2023
Robert D.W. Chin, born on November 13, 1933 in San Francisco, Calif., to the late Aileen and George Chin, passed away on November 29, 2023 at 90 years old.
Bob was the last surviving sibling of his sisters, Leila Woo, Lila Lee, Rose Loo and brothers, Harry, Herbert, Hoover and Rolph. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. Bob was previously married to Ann Lui and had a long friendship with Marina Kuan. Bob was a lifelong resident of San Francisco and was a graduate of Golden Gate University. Bob's favorite pastimes were music, karaoke and giving a great party. In his early years, he worked promoting music to the radio stations, later owning the Ricksha Bistro on Grant Ave., in Chinatown and managing for Jack in the Box.
Private Interment will be at San Francisco Columbarium and a celebration of his life will be held on March 1, 2024. Please contact Karen at 415-609-0590 for details.
