Robert Murphy Obituary
He married his best friend and love of his life, Patricia Murphy in 1949 and together they had three children, Michael Patrick Murphy, James Ellsworth Murphy and Mary Ann Murphy. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1950-1953. He was also a lifetime member of the Elks Club. Robert was a businessman at heart, and he owned and operated several catering companies and served as president of NCMCA, Northern California Mobile Catering Association. He is preceded in death by son Michael and wife, Patricia.
He is survived by his son James, daughter, Mary Ann, grandchildren, Robert Christopher Murphy and Michele Lyssand (Jon) and great-grandchildren, Anna Maria Lyssand and Kare Lyssand. No services will be held.

The McGowan Family has been friends with the Murphy's for 61 years. Since there are twelve kids we all have different favorite memories, but Maryann, my twin sister Ann, and I have so many together. Some of my favorite memories of Maryann's dad are how he proudly would show us his favorite art objects and his catering businesses. When I was little l pretty much would just giggle anytime Maryann's dad would say anything . He thought that was funny. My favorite memory of Mrs. Murphy was being in her convertible with the song We'll sing in the Sunshine playing and thinking she looked like a movie star. But just a few weeks before Bob left us my husband and I spent the afternoon with Maryann and her Dad . The 49ers were playing and they won. We are so thankful to have had that last beautiful day together. We are so lucky to have them in our lives.
