Robert (Bob) passed away, at age 94, only 26 days before his 95th birthday. He was born in San Francisco, California to Justine and Antonio Pardini. He will be joining his wife of 60 years, Beverly (White) Pardini who died in 2018. He is survived by his children, Carolyn M. Herran (Daniel), Dotty Coburn, Albert Pardini (Eithne) and William Pardini (Lola); his sister, Justine Jepsen; and sister-in-law, Darlene Alioto White. Bob enjoyed the pleasure of having nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his son Robert F. Pardini. Bob grew up in the Glen Park neighborhood of San Francisco, and as a teenager worked at the family grocery store until the building was taken under eminent domain to become the Glen Park BART station. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1949, and served for four years in the United States Naval Reserve (Submarine division). Upon completion of his military service, Bob joined the San Francisco Police Department and served for 31 years. He retired at the rank of Sergeant in 1984 after earning three silver medals of valor. Bob continued working
for Goldengate disposal (now Recology) for 20 years serving as their director of
safety operations. After retiring for the second time, he and Beverly enjoyed traveling the world. He devoted much of his personal time and effort supporting various groups including the Retired Employees of the City and County of San Francisco. Together, Bob and Beverly were part of the team that successfully fought and obtained health care benefits for the partners and children of retired City workers. In accordance with Bob's wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
