Robert Ward Memoriam
On Decembr 3, 2023, Robert "Bob" Ward passed peacefully in his Berkley home. Bob with siblings, John and Peggy, were raised in Jackson Heights, NY, by parents, Patrick and Helen. Upon graduating high school, Bob's early art earned him a much-coveted spot at The Art Students League of NY. Bob found himself in Vietnam, due to the draft and leaving with a Purple Heart for valor. San Francisco became his home, and for 50+ years he surrounded himself with artists, creatives and chosen family.

I will add a thought and a memory. I met Bob when I moved to San Francisco as a fledgling law student. He was someone to be admired among amazing artists - but also historians. He accepted everyone into his world. He enlarged my life. He gave me his time. My life is inherently better because he took a little bit of time to make it that way. He was that kind of person. He made a huge impression on my life and I will think of him often. I have great affection in my heart for him - and always will.
