Miss Barber was the reason I was able to graduate high school. She was the reason I believed in faith that some people truly were looking out for me.

I owe a part of my life to Ms. Baba. Without her I don't think my life would be where it is know without her help. I was going through a rough time and I wrote to her what I was going through and she did what a person does --help. There is not a month that goes by I don't think about how I wouldn't have made it through high school. She gave me hope. I will never forget that ever. Her kindness lives on through everything I do.

Hi Ms Baba ! I remembered how you told Students to sit well and pay attention in class. I remembered how you encouraged us to learn English (you told us negotiation and communication skills are crucial). I remembered how you liked my artwork and I drew you a master piece! I remembered how you like the book Great Gatsby and Huckleberry Fin! I enjoyed reading novels with you and rest of class. I still have your graded paper to this date ! Your handwritings and words are all previous to me! Thank you Ms Baba and rip! God bless your family.

Miss Baba! Forgive me for being so sappy about your way to soon leave from us. You're great and extremely funny. Please watch over me. You changed the way I chose to live my life in so many ways. You taught me to always have open arms- for the right people at least- I promise to live the life I deserve. Thanks for all the advice. I'll laugh my hardest for you.

You have a heart for teaching. Once you said to all of our playful students in class, "If you have bad English, don't expect the society will give you any respects. English is very important. I am here try to help all of you, please listen." Sometimes you are a tough teacher too because when the students would play tricks or say some mean words to pretend if they are funny...you would use your strength and wisdom to use words to fight back while at the same time showing the students of the love and care from you. Sometimes when the whole class doesn't get your quick quiz, you will just be nice and give them tips on some of the most difficult questions. After the students completed them, you would say "Oh this is just a quiz for you, it does not count any marks." Another time, I drew you a framed picture of a house with people live inside. You loved it so much and placed on your shelf. =)

Ms. Baba, you will always be one of my favorite teachers. You're such an amazing person with such a beautiful soul. I looked forward to your class the most because it was such a blessing to be in your presence because you gave off such positive energy. I can still picture you standing in the middle of the classroom and flashing that huge smile at all of us. You've touched so many lives and heaven gained a beautiful angel with a beautiful heart. I will remember you always.

Shelley, I met you when your cousin Janet and I stopped in at the bar your were tending. You were so vibrant and animated! It made our day! We had been shopping at the Laura Ashley store and Janet was excited to see you. So glad that I met you that day almost 30 years ago? Thanks for being such a loving support to Janet. Darling Shelly was my fellow shopgirl at Montgomery Ward as teens, my college roommate for two wild and crazy years, and my fellow adventurer as we backpacked across Europe in the '70s. We drank vodka on the Fourth of July in Cold War Moscow, danced ito sunrise on the Costa Brava, drank mint tea in Morocco. I remember her as a vibrant, fiercely creative, sensitive, loving friend who grabbed for life's brass ring with open arms and open heart. I'm so sorry for her loss, and extend sympathies to the many who mourn her passing.

Darling Shelly was my coworker at Montgomery Ward as teenagers, my college roommate for two wild and crazy years, and my adventurous companion as we girls backpacked across Europe in the 70s. I will always remember her as vibrant, fiercely creative, sensitive, and one who reached for life's brass ring with open arms and open heart. She was artistic, poetic, a very giving friend, loved to rock out, and she really enjoyed a party! I'm so sorry for her loss, and extend my sympathies to the many who mourn her passing.

One of the greatest people I ever had the pleasure of knowing..She lit up every room she entered and had a way of making everyone she knew feel so special and loved. She was so passionate and poured her heart and soul in everything she did. She would laugh at me because I was always eating and she thought it was funny that I was like...what? Calories? Diet? Nope. She had the body of a tiny dancer always had a beautiful figure. She was someone that knew if I was feeling good or bad without me saying a word and always had a way of making me feel better just by her presence. She was pure joy and a blessing in my life that I will miss terribly. To JP, Paul, and all Her family, my sincerest and deepest sympathy. Peace and Love, Lidia
