April 2, 1943 - July 7, 2022
Ron Damato, age 79, native of San Francisco, resided his entire life in the Russian Hill neighborhood. He was a son of the late Lawrence Damato and Lee Masini (Damato); Stepson of the late Rico Masini; Loving brother of Larry Damato (Janine); Stepbrother of Paul Masini; Loving Uncle of Danny Damato. He is also survived by cousins, many friends and neighbors. A man of many talents, in addition to being a plumber, Ron was a true entrepreneur who dabbled in carpentry, construction, mechanics and memorabilia collecting. He was a fan of all San Francisco sports teams with a special love of horse racing. His family appreciates and is grateful to the palliative care and comfort provided by the staff at Bruns House during his final days. Donations in Ron's memory can be sent to Bruns House (East Bay Hospice), 2849 Miranda Ave, Alamo, CA 94507. All are invited to a memorial at the Italian Cemetery, Skylight Mausoleum, in Colma at 11:00 am on Monday, July 18.
