Ronald Macaluso Obituary

Ronald Joseph Macaluso
August 29, 1940-December 28, 2021
Passed away peacefully at home after a long illness. Survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Jean Vanden Heuvel and his children, Jean (David Jelkovac) and Brian (Diane). Beloved Grandpa/Papa to Emma and Jack Jelkovac and Isabella and Sofia Macaluso. Survived by siblings Robert Macaluso and Marilyn (Tom) Gomez, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Thomas Macaluso.

Ron was born in San Francisco in 1940 to Charles and Mary and raised in the Excelsior District, where he attended Corpus Christi School. He graduated from Riordan High School in 1958 and USF in 1962, where he made life-long friends. He then went on to an esteemed career as a Manager in Information Technology at Chevron until his retirement in 1999. He and Jean traveled the world extensively which he loved. Ron was a great athlete and competitor who loved nothing more than getting together with his buddies, whether it was for a round of golf or a festive pedro tournament. He was a life long avid 49ers, Giants, and Warriors fan.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made in his name to Archbishop Riordan High School (riordanhs.org) or Hanna Boys Center (hannacenter.org)
