Rosa Costantini Obituary

Rosa Costantini
September 14, 1935 - March 22, 2022
Rosa (Rosina) passed away peacefully in her home in Redwood City at the age of 86 surrounded by loved ones. Rosa was born in Villa San Sebastiano, Italy to Luciano and Clotilde Valente. She had two sisters and a brother: Vittorina, Osiria and Vincenzo. At 14 she moved to Rome for several years. Rosa married Ottavio Costantini on March 22, 1959 in Villa San Sebastiano and joined him in San Francisco in 1961 where they lived in the Excelsior district. Within 2 years they had two sons, Panfilo and Luciano.
Rosa was a Christian and a true believer, and she knew she would be with the Lord when she passed. Her faith gave her strength and courage. Rosa was a storyteller, a cook, a baker, but most of all she was a mother, a nonna and a kind friend to so many. Rosa was beloved by all those fortunate to have known her. We will miss her very much, but we will always remember her, her stories and her bluntness, and we will smile.
Rosa is survived by her son Panfilo and his wife Tricia and their children, Sarah and Michael, her son Luciano and his wife Paulette and their children, Lianna and Rachele, and her many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Italian Cemetery Chapel, 540 F Street, Colma, CA.
Her family appreciates donations to Grace Bible Church in Redwood City.
