Rosalind Sabella Clark

1947-2019

Rosalind Sabella Clark passed away peacefully, at the age of 72, with loved ones at her side, in Marin County, CA. Rosalind was born in San Francisco's North Beach (Little Italy), and raised in the Marina District. Born into the Sabella family of restauranteurs, cooking and entertaining with warmth and grace to a house filled with loving family and friends, became second nature. She worked her whole life at keeping her family happy and healthy. Rosalind, in the spirit of her beloved parents, Angelo Scafani Sabella and Vita Ra Sabella, created, owned, and operated an Italian seafood restaurant, "Sabella's of Kaua`i", in Hawaii, with the help of her husband.
Rosalind was the wife of the late Robert "Bob" Noel Clark, loving Mother and Grandmother to; Kara Mia Clark Love, her husband Tyler Love, their daughter, Ella - Stepdaughter Kelly Andre Clark and her son, Dylan Clark Sayge - Stepdaughter Kate Clark Grabowski and her sons, Daniel, David, Benjamin, and Samuel.
She is also survived by; her beloved brother Luciano Sabella, his wife Toni, and his children; Lisa and her husband, Mario Stauffacher, Michelle and her husband, Helio Resteiro and their children; Jordan and Margot, Dominica and her husband, David Rossman and their children; Skye and Eli, and Mark Angelo Sabella - the children of her beloved late sister, Angela and her late husband, Thomas Marks; Anthony, his children; Dominic and Nicholas, and wife, Nena, Vita Marks, and Jeffrey Marks.
The entire Sabella family was raised with the credo of; family first, and fabulous food second.
The loss of Rosalind from this earth is heart wrenching to all those who knew and loved her, but the memories of her warm and giving nature and her fiery spirit, will never be forgotten and will be a beacon to those of us left behind. May God bless and receive her into the hereafter.

I said a prayer for you Ros in heaven at Saint Mary’s church in Nicasio this last Sunday on All Souls Day.

I thought of your girls. I thought of your family.
I vow to appreciate mine more today. Bless you all Sabellas and Clark’s and we will see you in heaven Ros.

I first saw Roz was from The Dock restaurant in Tiburon 1975...i immediately developed an enormous crush on her...she was so beautiful..the Chef i worked for Jon Nicolae knew Earl the Chef at Sabella's and helped me get a position in the pantry at Sabella's. Sabella's was wonderful...brand new building...a crab pot at the entrance and a wonderful crew filled with members of the Sabella family led by her mother and brother Lou. I was a student at USF at the time and eventually moved on to work at the Pacific Stock Exchange, but I never forgot Roz. Recently I found her on facebook and we began chatting. I learned she had lost her husband and had developed a life threatening illness. I am shocked to learn of her recent demise, but am sure she's found a happy place on the other side. Before she left she told me she had been saying the rosary every night...and would think of her parents. I'm sure that they have been watching over her and she is with them now. She has been in my prayers as well as the prayers of so many others and I'm sure this means so much to her and would like to thank everyone for their love and support. God has certainly blessed Roz ..she is with his Holy Family and the Angels now...I love You Roz...RIP

I met Roz as a 5 year old in kindergarten at St. Vincent de Paul. Although we lost touch for many years, we reconnected on Facebook and I was grateful for this. It was really fun to learn about her family and what she's been doing all of these years. Roz, I will miss your posts and am sorry we were not able to connect in person. I cannot attend your funeral as I live in Phoenix, but will be thinking of you. Rest in peace my friend.

We met at my cousin Donna's birthday party when we were 5 years old. I have a sweet picture of us at that age. I love it. Enjoyed sharing memories with you of the past 67 years especially playing kick the can in the street on Retiro Way and going to Halloween parties. I was heartbroken to hear of your
passing. RIP dear Rozzie. Love, Joan
