Ruth Hansen Pierce

Ruth Hansen Pierce Passed away peacefully at age 97 on Jan. 18, 2008. She was born on Nov. 7, 1910 in Sacramento, raised in Sonoma and was a 57 year resident of San Carlos. Ruth graduated from San Francisco State with a bachelors in education. She was happily married to Emmet J. Pierce for 66 years. Ruth will be greatly missed by her daughter Beth Weber; grandchildren, Julia and James Weber; and her great grandchildren Emmett Weber-Wilkening and Jayden Weber. Ruth was healthy and in her own home until her last day. Ruth was an active member of the Women's Club of San Carlos and the Civic Garden Club of San Carlos for many years, as well as the Order of the Easter Star. She loved dancing with her husband, flower arranging, her garden, and most especially her family. A gathering will take place at her home on February 3rd. For more info call Beth.
