Sisto Giuliacci Obituary

Sisto Giuliacci Born March 26, 1925 in Frontone, Italy (Marche Region), passed away January 7, 2007 after a short battle with cancer. He was the youngest of eight children. He leaves behind his loving wife, Enza, of over 61 years; his children, Marcella Quilici (Pete), Ubaldo Giuliacci (Lisa), Anna Brown, Marco Giuliacci (Jacqueline). He also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Angela, Jennifer, Romina, Eric, Christopher, Meghan, Lauren, Alexandria and Danielle; and five great-grandchildren: Kayla, Kaitlin, Dominic, Giuliana and Francesca. He also leaves behind one surviving brother in Italy, Silvio Giuliacci. Sisto immigrated to the United States in 1955 and immediately began working for Golden Gate Disposal Company in San Francisco, where he remained for 32 years, until his retirement in 1987. He loved spending time with his family, gardening and socializing at the Marche Club. He had a passion for dancing and was known to be on the dance floor for every song. He was known to many in the Burlingame Hills as the "walking man," walking every morning and picking up neighbors newspapers, placing their paper at the front door. He invited everyone to come to his house and have a "martini" with him. He will be missed for his humor and booming personality. You will always be number one to us. We love you. You will be greatly missed. Friends and family are invited on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 4:00 pm, and are invited to attend the Vigil Service at 7 pm at the Colonial Mortuary of Crosby N. Gray & Co, 2 Park Road (at Peninsula and El Camino Real) in Burlingame, and to attend a Funeral Mass, Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 10 am, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 1721 Hillside Drive, Burlingame, CA. Interment to follow.

To Enza and the Giuliacci family,
I am deeply sorry for your great loss.Too soon to say goodbye to you, Sisto.
You have been like a grandfather to me in this country and been generous and kind all the time with such a big warm heart and smile. You lived your life so beautifully and I always looked you up. How I wish I could see you one more time and tell you how lucky I am meeting someone like you in my life. Missing your voice, your smile, your knocking on my door with plum and figs...
Will miss you every day. You stay in my heart, forever.

Baldo and Marco, I'm very sorry for your loss. When I started at Golden Gate I looked up to your father and was very greatful when he explained to me what was expected of me at the garbage company if I was going to make it.O.K maybe he scared me a little. I will always be thankful to him. My prayers are with you both and your familys.

It has always been a great pleasure to know and be a part of Sisto's life. As small a part as it may have been, in comparison to all the wonderful people he has shared his life with. Never the less he has welcome me into his home and shared his family with open arms. He always made sure that u were comfortable and had plenty of drink and food. He'd joke or kid with you and make you laugh, things that will always stay in my heart and memories. There was one thing he said that always put a smile on my face no matter if he was happy or upset "What's a matter for you" Just Sisto being Sisto. to all the Giuliacci you are in my prayers and thoughts. God Bless
