Stephen Koon Ort Louie of San Francisco passed away on December 18, 2024. Stephen was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Y. Louie. He is survived by his son Dexter and daughter-in-law Susan; grandchildren Allison (Miguel) and David (Katie); and great-grandson, Theodore. Stephen worked as an interpreter for the US Government, followed by a career in real estate. Stephen was active in the Chinatown community with longtime service to family associations; President of the Board of the Asian Women's Resource Center; Secretary of the Chinese Six Companies; and service to the wider community: member of the San Francisco County Grand Jury; appointed to a Presidential Advisory Board on Minority Small Business. Funeral services at Evergreen Mortuary, 4545 Geary Blvd., San Francisco January 19, 2025 at 10 am; interment at Hoy Sun Memorial Park, Colma, CA. In lieu of flowers, consider memorial contributions to the Asian Women's Resource Center (Gummoon.org) or a charity of your choice.

Dear Stephen Louie's Family,
Sorry to hear of the loss of Stephen. He and my father, John Louie, met in San Francisco when they were very young men and remained lifelong friends. I was fortunate to have spent time with Stephen to hear about memories of times he and my father spent over the years. Glad that you were able enjoy many years together as a family.
