Dear Stephen,
I am finding it difficult to put into words the immense gratitude I have for you and the deep sorrow I feel knowing you are no longer with us. Your passing has left a void in my life that cannot be filled.
Coach, you were more than a mentor to me. You were my guiding light, pushing me beyond my limits, and believing in my potential even when I doubted myself. Your unwavering support and belief in me gave me the strength to overcome challenges and strive for greatness.
The lessons you taught me extend far beyond the game. You instilled in me the values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork, shaping me into a better person both on and off the field. Your impact on my life is immeasurable, and I will forever cherish the memories we shared.
Coach Stephen, your spirit will continue to inspire me. I will carry your teachings with me, remembering the times you pushed me to be better, the victories we celebrated together, and the indelible mark you left on my life.
Thank you, Coach, for everything you have done for me. You will always hold a special place in my heart.
Rest in peace, Coach Stephen.

So sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person. Some people come into your life for a brief time but leave an unforgettable impact. Mr. Portis was such a person, I had interacted very briefly with him when he was mentoring my husband and his friend's company in Hyderabad, India. He was not only a mentor to the company but also to my now 19 year old son, who has always held him in very high regard. He was a guide and friend to my son during the tough times of covid 19 and was actively involved in providing succor to the disadvantaged sections of society. He has gone away too soon. May his soul rest in peace. May the Almighty give strength to his family in this hour.

I was a GSB classmate and a fellow Seed coach - I am so very sorry to hear about this. One of my favorite memories is when Stephen played the role of Richard Simmons (exercise guru of the 70s) leading his classmates in a GSB skit. He was hilarious! And I admired his passion and skill as a Seed coach as he worked with his companies. How you will be missed, Stephen. Thank you for how you impacted so many of us.
