Steve will always leave a lasting impression on me as a friend, co-worker, and mentor. As a young attorney, Steve was often the "Oracle" which myself and others sought advice on all things legal. If it had anything to do with a statute or code section, you could be certain Steve knew about it.

One time Steve ran into me in the kitchen at work and saw me feverishly mixing a nutrition shake as part of my failed diet. Steve laughed at me, patted his stomach, and remarked that the only diet he was following was the one responsible for his stomach.

Steve had an enduring kindness, intelligence, and sense of humor that I will miss greatly. And he always knew how to have a good time. I will always remember the lasting impression he left on me.
