Surya Jayanthi Obituary

Surya Narayana Jayanthi (Feb. 10th 1962 - Jan. 25th 2011) Sadly missed along life's way, quietly remembered every day, no longer in our life to share, but in our hearts he's always there. Surya...A loving husband, a caring father, a beloved son, youngest and dearly missed brother, mentor to all his nieces and nephews, good friend to everyone who were fortunate enough to know him, and above all a wonderful human being... has passed and moved on to a higher state. However the rays of sunshine filled with warmth and cheer from Surya will remain in our hearts forever. - Jayanthi Family

Fly high my sweet friend. You are a free spirit so much larger than your incarnate body could ever hold. xoxo

Hi Surya ~

Two years since you took your last breath in your incarnate form. But in spirit with us always.

So difficult for a free spirit to be contained in one body.

Enjoy the day my friend . . .

:)

Dear Surya

Hard to imagine..One year has passed ..

One year during which the earth moved one full circle around the Sun..

No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why.

We miss you now, our hearts are sore,
As years go by, we will miss you more.
Your loving smile, your gentle face,
No one can fill your empty place.

When I feel cold as the Sun may have set,
I will get some warmth, from the star that appears bright,
As I am sure that it will be you,
Looking upon all of us during the night.

No words can express how much I miss you...

- Krishna

I was lucky enough to work with Surya for several years. He was a joyous person, generous with his knowledge and kind of heart. My thoughts are with his family over this great loss.

I had the pleasure of working with Surya for several years and am saddened by hearing this today. He did excellent work and even more was a very positive person and always smiling.

Surya,
I will always remember you with love and affection. When I first met you in 1996, while I was living in Tucson I instantly felt I had known you for years. With your sincere smile, infectious laugh, and warm easy-going nature you had a wonderful effect on all who knew you. Nothing was ever a bother for you. I remember a year or so later visiting my cousin in Oregon, and you insisted on driving me back to the Portland airport (2 + hrs away) taking me to a wonderful restaurant for lunch, all seeming like you had all the time in the world...so easy going and funny and kind. (And boy...could you cook!!!) Dear Chandra and family, I am so sorry I never met you, but I do hope that you find peace and comfort in knowing what a beautiful life Surya lived, and how many people he touched along the way.

Dearest Surya

I will always remember you with a smile. I can see in your kids the same indefatigable spirit and a joy de vivre which is your legacy.

You are in our thoughts always and I hope you are watching over us with a smile and a laugh.

Lots of love to you.

Surya ~ you are a free-spirit . . . now free to soar the world unimpeded by the constraints of the physical body. You are everywhere in the prismatic rays of sunshine that envelop us all each day, in our hearts, in our laughter and joy. Your sunny nature everpresent even as we all parted ways with your body in "Sunnyvale." What a sense of humor, even at death . . . We are blessed to have shared your earthly life and look forward to more ethereal adventures to come . . . in the grand canyon of the universe with you. Breathe freely and fly my friend . . . until we meet again . . .

Surya ...

You might be soaring high above in the skies and mountains, but your cheer and warmth will remain here in the hearts of Amma, Rani, Roja, Shuba and myself , forever. Chandra, Niven and Shriya who also miss you, will cherish your memories.

While I will miss you dearly as my Brother, with whom I shared many wonderful moments in life, I am comforted by the fact that you are not alone up above, but are in the care and company of our long departed Father.

As long as the Sun (Surya) rises and sets everyday, you can be sure that the rays of your love will warm our hearts and you will remain in our prayers.
