Gone too soon and deeply treasured, our Susan departed this life on June 25, 2014, following a lengthy illness. Susan was surrounded by her immediate family, and close friends, at the time of her passing. A recent resident of Nicasio, California, Susan lived a life full of travel and her loss will be felt by her many friends around the globe. Born Mary Susan Gilhooley on July 7, 1939 to Thomas Edward and Mildred Strong Gilhooley of Christiansburg, Virginia. Susan was the eldest of four sisters. She is survived by her loving husband Dr. David I. Greenly, her two cherished daughters, Christine Carrington-Winters, 53 and Claire Carrington McDowell, 52 and her beloved son Michael David Greenly, 34. Susan ("Nana") is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Gabrielle Carrington Winters, 28, Mason Carrington McDowell, 21, Avery Dee McDowell, 18 and Rilke Evangalista Greenly, 13. Susan is also survived by her three sisters, Martha Moore Clarke of Virginia, Annie Thiele Ramsey of Ohio and Marie Gilhooley Eisele of New Jersey.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I just happened to find this Notice. Susan Greenlee was an awesome women. I was hired as a landscaper fr their home in Berkeley. Sue and I became friends and her son Micheal and I became great buddies! He began to hang out with me as I did the yard. So Sue asked if I wud like to babysit Micheal. I told her it wud be my pleasure. I remember one year dressing up as Spiderman at Micheal kids party it was so much fun. Those were special times in my life. And I would like to send my love to sues daughters Chris and Claire. Also David! But most of all Micheal! What an awesome Kid. You brought lots of joy in my life! I only know Christine and Gab, but they are part of you, so you were awesome to have been such a wonderful Mother and Nana.
