It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Marie (Terry) Bac, who peacefully left us April 7, 2025. Born on August 26, 1944, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Jewell and Edward Noël, Terry was the eldest of 11 siblings. She is survived by her mother, Jewell (age 100); and her loving siblings: Karen Sanguinetti, Stephanie Noël, Andrea Ledgerwood, Esprit Noël, Paul Noël, Anna Clark, Jeff Noël, Germaine Burke, and Claire Long. She was predeceased by her brother, Dan Noël.
Terry was the beloved wife of Martin Bac for 54 years, until his passing in 2022. She was the cherished mother of Noelle Flood (Jeff) and Marty Bac (Angelica), and the proud Nana to her team of boys: Dylan and Logan Bac, and Josh, Jared, and Jordan Flood.
Terry was meticulous in everything she did and kept detailed notes about most activities in life including every meal she ever served to a guest. If you loved it you'd be sure to see it again and if you didn't there would be a long explanation as to its flaw. Her famous Tortelloni soup recipe is a staple in friends' homes across the US.
During healthier times she loved to cross-stich and to dance. If you are blessed by a Terry Christmas tree ornament you know that she spent hours and hours thinking about you while stitching hoping the gift would bring you joy for years to come. Terry and Martin were beautiful on a dance floor together – taking dance lessons with dear friends, going to group dinner dances and breaking out a polka at a beer hall on occasion.
Terry's family takes comfort in knowing that she is now free from pain, breathing easy, and watching over them with love.
We will honor her life on Monday, April 14th at 10am at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City. Family burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, please think about who in your life might need a bit of your time to run an errand or provide support. There was a village of neighbors and friends that extended themselves as Terry needed help – let's pay that kindness forward.
