Thomas Bauer Obituary

Thomas J. Bauer 74, formerly of Sauk City, WI, and Chicago, IL, and recently of Los Angeles and San Francisco, died Wed., July 2, 2008. He was born on October 30, 1933 to Armand and Audrey (Vanden Brook) Bauer. Tom earned his degree in architecture/engineering at Iowa State in Ames, IA. He was proud of his service as 1st lieutenant in the US Army, and was stationed in Germany. After service Tom began his career, specializing in the design of hospitals, working in both Chicago and Los Angeles. Tom will be sadly missed by his brothers, James (Carol) Bauer, Jack (Jane) Bauer and his sisters, Jean Bauer and Judy (Dennis) Holtz, as well as by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City, WI at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2008. Friends may call at the church, one hour prior to Mass. Interment will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the best memorial to Thomas would be to vote for Barak Obama for president and/or memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
