Tonya Hinderlie Obituary

Tonya R Hinderlie

Tonya Hinderlie was born in Hayward, CA on May 10, 1972, and passed away in Sunnyvale, CA on November 22, 2020.

Tonya was a compassionate and generous soul. She dedicated her life's work to her faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her faith was her focus and she was passionate about participating with her friends and family in spiritual activities. In addition to her volunteer work with Jehovah's Witnesses, Tonya was adventurous and loved to travel, spend time at the beach until sunset, enjoy concerts of her favorite bands, and foster kittens from the local shelter. Her friends fondly remember her as loving, bubbly, and outgoing. She was truly happiest being with family and friends, especially showering her nieces and nephews with her time, love, and support.

Tonya touched and impacted the lives of many people through her selfless, loving, and giving character. She will be dearly missed.

My sweet friend Tonya, we are all going to miss you terribly and can't wait for the day when Jehovah brings you back to us. Seeing how many were at your memorial showed just how much you are cared for and how many bonds over the years were created and nurtured. Im so thankful for being a part of your life and all the memories we have together.

My husband and I only met and got to know Tonya recently. However, the minute we met, we knew she was special. Just a sweet, beautiful and kind sister. So engaging and always smiling. Our hearts go out to her family and dear friends. She worshipped a loving God that gives us all a hope of a resurrection. How wonderful it will be to see her again , where she will be happy and smiling again!

I met Tonya when I was twelve years old . She was such a sweet girl. I remember she was so excited to find out that I was a Jehovah’s Witness. We both knew we would be the best of friends. We were more like family . We have both been through so much together . She was always by my side and fully supported me without bias or judgement . She frequently reminded me of Jehovah’s love. She was a true spiritual person. She loved the ministry, meetings, and conventions. She loved to spend time with her friends and family. She loved her family so much and always spoke well of them even if things were not perfect. She was a beautiful person both inside and out. She was funny, lighthearted, witty, stubborn , spirited, loving, hospitable, kind, humble, giving, selfless and...... I could go on an on. I miss my dear sister and friend already . I will miss my weekly conversations with her and watching our favorite tv show via facetime. She was always the first person I would tell about my doctor appointments or other important events in my life. My husband always joked about our close friendship. He knew she was a true friend and sister. I can’t wait to see her in paradise . I can’t wait to see her beautiful smile. I would like to give my deepest condolences for her family and friends.

With all my love,
Jasmine

Tonya was one of the sweetest, most caring people that I have ever met. She was a wonderful and thoughtful sister. We bonded over our shared love for cats and always had lots to talk about during service.

I can’t wait to see her again in paradise and we can play with the BIG cats together!

It is still not real.
We have known Tonya since she was about 11. Our families came into the truth at the same time in the Milpitas/Fremont areas. I never remember seeing her without a smile on her face.
The whole Deaver family sends deepest sympathy, with prayers to the Hinderlie family, and we are crying with
you!
We have the hope of being with you to greet her back in the new system.

First of all my heart, thoughts and prayers to Tonya's dad and the rest of her family and friends. I remember the 1st time I met Tonya and found out we had the same name but spelled a tad different. From then on we were close friends. Tonya was a wonderful and true friend. She was kind, fun, loyal, compassionate, and so much more. Her smile would just brighten your day! She was a beautiful person in and out. We had alot of wonderful times together, whether it was just us two or with friends. There are so many wonderful memories with her ❤ I love her so much and I miss her so much! I can't wait for the time very soon when I can see her smiling, beautiful face again and to enjoy many more memories in paradise. ❤ Until then she will always be in my heart. ❤

Tonya was one of the kindest and most compassionate people I have ever known. She laughed and/or cried with you. She loved her family, friends, fur babies, and most importantly Jehovah with her big heart. I long for the day to see her big blue eyes and even bigger dimpled smile in the paradise. Our hearts and many prayers are with her family.

Tonya I will never find the words beautiful enough to describe all you mean to me. You were the kind of person you just met and just clicked with and felt you’ve known all your life. You were more than a friend to me but a friend that became like family. Thank you for the loving support you provided by being right there cheering me on, making me laugh, and being there for me no matter what. Regardless if we were hanging out or dancing with friends, in the ministry, watching TV, we were having a great time together. I know I will have a wonderful opportunity to see you again my forever friend, Tonya but for now you’re forever in my heart.

Tonya was like sunshine in a room. Her smile made you smile back. She had such a kind, mild, and patient way about her. I will remember Tonya's example of being enthusiastic in her ministry and her well prepared comments will be missed.
Looking forward to the time our tears will be tears of joy and our broken hearts are healed.

Little memories remembered: Tonya, me and another sister were going somewhere and met at her house. The sister arrived and I gave her a BIG hug. Tonya was standing there and I said I'd hug you, but I know you don't like hugs. She said so cute with her dimpled smile, "yes I do"! I gave her a big hug! Then 2 weeks before she passed away, I was at her work at the Hallmark store and was saying goodbye and gave her a virtual hug and kiss. Tonya then gave me her big beautiful dimpled smile. It was so very precious.

Tonya was always happy when she was in service and at the assembly, as can be seen in the above photo.

My princess, I love her so. At times like this there is one word in the bible that is closest to our hearts, "Resurrection", Thank you Jehovah. - Trina

I loved Tonya and her family. They were my introduction to the truth. I’m broken-hearted at the pain they have to endure. I wish I could be with you guys in person. To cry with you. Tonya was there for me during the most difficult time of my life. She really is generous and kind and most of all a great friend! She always knew just what to say. I miss her so much.

I have a lot of good memories with Tonya. We traveled together, went to the beach together, picked out pets together, but my best memories are of all the things we did for Jehovah together. RBC,
Service in the way back of the Denali (cuz we had the shortest legs!)
Best of all, studies together, she loved to teach the Bible to others.
I will see you soon my friend!

Tonya opened up her home to me to spend the night even though she didn’t know me well. That was the day I first met my husband of almost 20 years. We fondly remember that she was part of our meeting. She is missed and we are looking forward to welcoming her back !

Words can not explain what I felt about Tonya and what she meant to me. She not only loved Jehovah but she loved her neighbors as Jehovah commaned. She preached to all sorts of people. She went over and above what was expected of her, when it came to her friends. I have many memories to cherish of times spent together with her. Service, gatherings, plays, special events and just hanging out. I loved every moment I spent with her she was a joy and asset to our cong. She will be missed I long to see her in God's new world.

Words can not explain what I feel for Tonya and what she meant to me! She was a one of a kind person. Not only did she love our God Jehovah, but she displayed love for neighbor in every sense of the command from Jehovah. She preached to people of all sorts. She was a true friend and companion. She went above and beyond what was expected of her. She loved with all her heart mind and soul. She was a very supportive young woman. She always showed up when she was needed. She loved to party, dance, Starbucks, veggie burgers and wierd dishes Lol! We ate the icing on the cake together. She was the icing on the cake as far as friends go. I loved working in service with her, going to gathersings and plays with her, goodie nights after book study were the best I always know she would bring something special from Marie Calendar. I have so many wonderful memories to cherish. She will forever be missed, until she is awakened in God's new world. I will hold her dear in my heart ❤ forever❣

My dearest friend and sister-in-law,
There are no words to explain the pain of your loss. We shared so many memories the last 14+ years, I’ll remember them fondly and always treasure them closely. You are the big sister I’ve always wanted. Tonya felt and cared so deeply for others and this earth has lost the most loving, selfless, generous and beautiful soul I’ve ever known. Tonya, I’ll miss you dearly

Tonya will be very much missed. She was so much fun. I tried a lot of new things that I probably would have never tried if it were not for her. Including plays, mystery train, and restaurants. She was at my most important events. Parties, graduation parties anniversaries, bridle shower, my wedding. She always gave her loving support. I look forward to seeing her again in Paradise! My deepest sympathy to her family and friends that loved her dearly!
