Victor Touriel Obituary
November 10, 1927 - April 19, 2023
We've lost a Darling: Victor Touriel, 95, owner of the Darling Flower Shop in Berkeley, CA. Vic was born in San Francisco on November 10, 1927. After graduating from Berkeley High School, Vic served in the Navy and Marines. In 1953 Vic married Leigh King while both were serving in the USMC. They later welcomed two sons, Jay and Ray. After leaving the service, Vic worked alongside his father in the family business while earning a BA from Armstrong College in 1958. He later took over the florist, growing it to five locations. Vic joined the Lion's Club, where he was active for over half a century, holding the role of District Governor in 1984. Vic married his current wife, Sally Clark, in 2008. He was a notorious jokester and a proud father and grandfather.
Vic is survived by his wife Sally, his sons Jay and Ray, daughter-in-law Reyna, his granddaughters Marie, Ana, Vicky, and Patty, and his nephew Philip.
Vic will be buried in the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
