VIRGINIA NETO Obituary

Viginia "Ginny" Vilm Neto Was born in Jefferson City, MO, December 26, 1931; she passed away at home in Corte Madera with her family by her side on June 18, 2012; she was 80 years of age. Virginia began her career as a librarian, then moved into research, becoming a renowned criminologist. She served her community in various ways, including eight years on the Larkspur School Board as trustee and president. She was active in the American Association of University Women. In her retirement, she owned and operated a floral design company. Virginia was preceded in death by her loving parents and her sister, Nancy. Missing her greatly is her loving husband of 47 years, James Manuel Neto; children Maggie (Spencer) Schugt, Natalie (Blaine) Frost, Joaquim (Sara) Neto, Laurence (Kathleen) Dunne; and eight wonderful grandchildren, with one more on the way. Her loss will be felt by many other family members and friends, especially those who as children received her love and guidance. Rosary service will be held at 7PM on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Monte's Chapel Of The Hills 330 Redhill Avenue in San Anselmo. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Larkspur. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma. Aunt Gigi was always a bright spot in my life. I loved it when she'd visit, her smile and laughter were contagious. She was very loved by everyone,and we are proud to say she's ours. God bless her and my prayers go out to you. She will be remembered always.
