Wallace Levin Obituary

Wallace Z. Levin
01/04/1932 - 10/02/2022
Wallace "Wally" Zave Levin passed away on October 2, 2022, at the age of 90. He was born on January 4, 1932, to Alice and Max Levin in Seattle, Washington.
He studied foreign trade at the University of Washington and joined the ROTC. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as First Lieutenant, stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, working as the Assistant Provost Marshall. In the fall of 1957, he met the love of his life, June (Liss) Levin in San Francisco and they were married for over 64 years. After a few short years in Southern California, they created a life together in Northern California for most of their adult life.
Known for his charisma, smile, warmth, and humor-Wally brightened virtually every room he entered. A voracious reader, he enjoyed discussing politics, culture, history, Classical music and Dixieland Jazz. He loved red wine and a good martini, dancing, and hosting dinner parties with June. He was a self-made businessman who loved people and traveled the world. He served on the boards of the Peninsula YMCA, the Peninsula Temple Beth El, and volunteered for Samaritan House.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Levin, and sister, Amy Sidell. He is survived by his wife, June; son, Gregory (Karen) Levin, and daughters Marcie (Nadav) Adary and Amie (John) O'Shaughnessy; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was greatly loved by all.
Donations may be made to Peninsula Temple Beth El, Samaritan House, or AbilityPath.

June, my heart goes out to you on the loss of Wally. He was a good guy who I always enjoyed seeing and speaking with. We had good conversations about politics, family, and many other things. I always look forward to seeing you both. I'm sorry I couldn't get out of work to attend the funeral, but you are both in my thoughts every day. Sending you love.
