WILLIAM HEARNE Obituary

William Philip Hearne April 2,1918 - June 3, 2012 Billie Hearne passed away peacefully of natural causes in Santa Rosa, Calif. at the age of 94. He was born in San Francisco to Francis Patrick Hearne and Juliette Imelda (O'Connor). He attended Commerce High School with a passion for Math; he was never without his calculator. He is survived by his dear sister-in-law, Ann Hearne of West Virginia, 8 nephews, 7 nieces, 11 grand nephews, 19 grand nieces, 21 great grand nephews, and 15 great grand nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Francis (Bub), John (Bo) and Edwin (Eddie); his sisters Alice (Ernie) Jehly, Irene (Eugene) Cashman, Lillian Rogers Fielden Olivera, Kathleen (Albert) Loretz, Verna (Ralph) Cole and nephew, Michael Edwin Hearne. Bill worked as a ship's engineer and accountant, retiring from Stateline Casino. He spent his retirement years in Sacramento. Billie was a survivor and was a very kind, generous and strong man with an incredible sense of humor. He was an avid walker and absolutely lived life his way. Even though he has now joined the rest of his family, he will be very much missed by those left here. His family would like to thank all the caring people of Creekside Convalescent Hospital in Santa Rosa who took such good care of him this year. At his request, services will be private but donations may be made to the Disabled American Veteran Organization which he supported.
