C. Lawrence Thorne

THORNE-C. Lawrence Thorne, 77, of West Covina passed away September 29, 2004 at Inter Community Hospital . He was born November 20, 1926 in Ogden, Utah. Mr. Thorne graduated from Covina High School in 1944, and then went on to recieve his B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry from Brigham Young University. He also served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean War. Mr. Thorne has been a resident of West Covina for 50 years. He was a teacher for 37 years at Covina, Baldwin Park, and West Covina High Schools. Mr. Thorne also owned and operated a tax preparation business from his home for 48 years. He was an avid g ardener and also enjoyed his many home improvement projects. Mr. Thorne is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. The funeral services will be held on October 5, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel at 1271 W. Badillo St., Covina, CA 91722.
