John Conrad Prentiss Egge

EGGE-John Conrad Prentiss Egge, 75, of Oroville, CA, passed away July 23, 2004 in Chico, CA. Born July 7, 1929 in Monterey Park, CA. He attended schools in the LA area. He married Margaret in 1959 (she died in 2001). Served in the U.S. Navy. He was President of the Irwin Dale Lions, lifetime member of VFW #8070 and was a Presidential recognized honoary Color Guard. He enjoyed gardening, shooting at the gun range, traveling and visiting yard sales. He like to fish, elk hunt and visit with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, John & Mary Belle Egge, daughter Elisa Ryan. Survived by sons, Arthur Egge of Oroville, CA, Douglas Egge of Covina, CA, John Bogden of Henderson, NV and Robert DeVore of Oroville, CA; sister Marybelle Egge of Rowland Heights, CA; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursd ay evening from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Cabot & Sons Funeral home in Pasadena. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 30, 2004 at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Los Angeles.
