Leonard Hagbery Obituary

HAGBERY- Leonard Hagbery, 84 April 18, 2011 Montclair, CA born Feb. 1, 1927 San Fernando CA to John Rendowski and Florence Elliot. Raised in Owyhee County, Idaho by mother Florence and step father Corwin Hagbery. Attended school in Owyhee County and Cole School in Boise, ID. In WWII he served on the destroyer USS Cogswell April 13, 1945-Jan. 1946. Married Virginia Koch of Boise July 3, 1949 in Winnemucca, NV. Married nearly 58 years until Ginny's passing May 27, 2007. All five children born in Idaho. Family moved to S.CA 1962 for work. Survived by three sons and two daughters (Marty, Chris, and Suzie of Covina, CA; Glenn of Colorado; and Brad of Montclair, CA) and by brother William Hagbery Sacramento, CA. He was the grandfather of eight: Micah, Greg, Kyle, Jessica, Danielle (deceased), Johnny and Amanda Belle. Leornard proudly wore his "Tin Can Navy" cap and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War. A graveside memorial service will be held at 1pm on May 27, 2011 at the Oakdale Memorial Park 1001 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740.
