Wanda Vera Lambert

LAMBERT-Wanda Vera Lambert, 65, died on January 4, 2008, from heart failure following colon cancer surgery.She was born on December 12, 1942, in East Stroudsburg, PA to the late John and Vera Lambert. She earned a B.S. in Education from East Stroudsburg University and taught Math at Pen Argyl High School. She earned an M.S. in Education from Pepperdine University. She taught at Goddard Jr. High School (1968-1981) and at Glendora High School (1981-2003). She taught Math at both schools including many advanced classes, was voted "Teacher of the Month" several times, served as the Pep Squad Advisor, and was known for her school spirit. She also taught part-time at Citrus College before retiring from a 39-year career in education. She loved spending time with family and friends, camping, and traveling. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She is survived by two brothers, Larry Lambert of Atlanta, GA, and Dennis Lambert of Reading, PA, and a sister, Laurie Lambert of Mt. Bethel, PA. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26th at United Methodist Church of Glendora, 201 East Bennett Avenue, Glendora, CA 91741, with Rev. Dr. Kimball Coburn officiating. Inurnment will take place in Bangor, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to the American Cancer Society.
