ALICE S. JACOBY

Mrs. Alice Jacoby of Random Lake passed away early Thursday morning, December 18, 2014, at Gables on The Pond. She was 98 years old. Alice was born in the Town of Fredonia on August 15th, 1916, daughter of Michael and Annie Kultgen Schneider. She attended local schools and graduated from Random Lake High School. On November 22, 1941, Alice was united in marriage with Peter Jacoby at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada. The couple settled in Random Lake and raised their family. Peter preceded her in death in 2000. Mrs. Jacoby was a longtime member of Our Lady of The Lakes, St. Mary's Chapel. She loved to crochet and knit, making many afghans and warm winter caps for friends and family members. Alice also enjoyed playing Scrabble and Sheepshead, playing up until just a few months ago.

Mrs. Jacoby is survived by her five children: Harold (Sheryl) Jacoby of Racine, Ann (Peter) Waldkirch of Newburg, Roger (Melinda) Jacoby of Kewaskum, Barbara (Ronald) Moths of Fredonia and Margie (Gary) Gauger, also of Newburg. She is further survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Barbara Schommer of Belgium, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and one great-grandchild who is due to arrive shortly. She is preceded in death by her husband Peter, brothers Joseph and Michael Schneider, and sisters Irene Mueller and Mildred Jacoby.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 23rd at Our Lady of The Lakes, St. Mary Chapel, 308 Butler St., Random Lake. Father Richard Cerpich will preside. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Tuesday from 10am until 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested.
