Van Dixhorn, Geraldine L.

Geraldine Van Dixhorn, age 86, of Town of Lyndon, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls.

She was born in Plymouth on July 17, 1930, daughter of Jerome and Emma (Meyer) Bunge.

She attended Grade school in Silver Creek and graduated from Random Lake High School in 1948. On February 9, 1957 she married Adrian Van Dixhorn at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Silver Creek. The couple moved to Harve de Grace, Maryland where Adie served in the United States Army from 1957-1959 on the Aberdeen Proving Grounds.

The couple moved back to Plymouth where they farmed on their farm on Cty U with his brother-in-law: Robert Rooker for over 50 years on Fairmont Acres.

Geraldine worked at the Sheboygan Greenhouse for many years, servicing many weddings, and helping with floral arranging and holiday work. She also worked on the paint line at Gilson Brothers in Plymouth.

Her most recent employment was working as a cook at the County Hospital and on the farm.

Geraldine was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Waldo. She was in the choir at Silver Creek Church and was a member of the Sherman Workers 4 H at Silver Creek. She was also the director of the Sheboygan County Travel Club and a member of Tri-County Pork Producers. She was a wonderful pie and Christmas stollen baker who loved to play BINGO!

Survivors include: Two daughters: Brenda (Thomas) Nabak of Sheboygan Falls, WI and Gloria (Michael Lemberger) Van Dixhorn of Madison, WI; Three grandchildren: Andrea (Anthony) Dombrowski of Lubbock, TX, Abigail Nabak of Sheboygan Falls, WI and Olive Lemberger of Madison, WI; Two sisters: Gail Grotenhuis of Cedar Grove and Gloria (Robert) Hanson of Iowa City, IA; and

One sister-in-law: Mary Rooker of the Town of Plymouth

She is also survived by many Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; Husband: Adie; Brother-in-law: Robert Rooker and nephew: Robert Rooker Jr.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday (November 18, 2016) at 4:00 P.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Waldo. Rev. Denise Kwiatkowski, Pastor of the church will officiate. Cremation has taken place and Inurnment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in the Town of Lyndon.

Visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Friday (Nov. 18) from 2:00 P.M. until the

time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Geraldine's name.
