Harold B. Hurtienne

Sheboygan - Harold Hurtienne was born on November 8, 1927 and passed away on May 21, 2021 at the age of 93. He attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School with the class of 1946. Harry participated in golf and basketball while attending Central High. During Harry's senior year, he was captain of the basketball team. In 1946, Harry was a unanimous choice for All Conference. At the time, Harry was the leading scorer in FRVC history. Leading sports writers rated Harry as the finest prep guard in the State of Wisconsin. Harry also participated in golf, helping to revive the golf program at Central High. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army. During his working years he was employed by the Garton Toy Factory. Harry enjoyed golfing with his morning group of guys at Riverdale Country Club.

Harold is survived by his children, Denise (Dan) Garmon, William Hurtienne and Amy Hurtienne; grandchildren, Jesse Felbab, Brian Lampe and David Felbab and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean; infant daughter and siblings, Vera Henning, Roland Hurtienne and Eugene "Doc" Hurtienne.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
