Hazel Nussbaumer Obituary

Nussbaumer, Hazel A.

Hazel A. Nussbaumer, age 90, of Plymouth, WI, passed away early Friday morning (Jan. 11) at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan where she had been a patient for one week.

She was born on November 5, 1922 in Batavia, WI, the second child of nine children, to the late Albert and Viola LeFever Melius. She attended Batavia Grade School and Plymouth High School.

On November 28, 1939 she married Leo Nussbaumer in Batavia, WI. The couple resided in Plymouth since their marriage.

She was employed at Wolf's Plumbing and Heating in Plymouth, Hub City Rambler Automobile Dealership and Hub City Auto Sales retiring after 30 years. In retirement, she worked at Brumeyer Flowers.

Leo preceded her in death on March 22, 1995.

She belonged to Plymouth Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered many hours at the gift store.

She was a lifelong member of Zion Methodist Church in Batavia.

Hazel was known as the neighborhood yard worker.

Survivors include: One Grandson: Daniel (Sandra) Hartmann of Sheboygan; Three great grandchildren: Benjamin, Amelia, and David Hartmann; Extended family: Gladys Hartmann of Thiensville, Gregg (Karen) Hartmann of Denver, CO and their children: Emma and Owen Hartmann; Brothers and Sisters: Audrey Clyatt of Jeffersonville, IN, Russell (Merley) Melius of Batavia,

Marjorie Peter of Plymouth, Delphine Hartmann of Fredonia, LaMae (Walter) Hetzel of Beaumont, CA and Dottie Reinhardt of Plymouth and One Sister-In-Law: Bernice Melius of Batavia

Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynn Hartmann and her husband Edward; two brothers: Clyde (Gladys) and John Melius and four brother-in-laws: Irvin Clyatt, Frederick Hartmann, Rollie Reinhardt and Rollin Peter.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday evening (Jan. 15) at 7:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Gail Mitchell, pastor of Zion Methodist Church in Batavia, will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at Suchon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. on until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Hazel's name.
