Henrietta Schneider Obituary

Schneider, Henrietta F.

Henrietta F. Schneider, age 76, of rural St. Cloud, passed away with her family at her side on Monday, March 9, 2015, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

The former Henrietta Ophoven was born March 15, 1938, in Antigo to the late Frederick Sr. & Alvina (Krebsbach) Ophoven.

She graduated from St. Mary's Springs High School in 1956. On September 1, 1956, she married Henry Schneider at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac.

In addition to helping operate the family farm, Henrietta managed the kitchen at the former Legion Hall in St. Cloud, the Golden Key, and the when the Cabaret first started.

She was a member of St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church, the Christian's Women's Society, and a member of the St. Cloud American Legion Auxiliary.

Henrietta is survived by her husband, Henry; three children, Daniel (Kelly) Schneider of Racine, Michael (Sandra) Schneider of rural St. Cloud, and Barbara Schneider (Tim) of Campbellsport; seven grandchildren, Patrik, Abigail, Tyler, Seth, Jennifer, Crystin, and Rebecca; two great-grandchildren, Greyson & Elijah; her brother, Frederick Jr. (Sandy) Ophoven of Ozark, MO; and her four legged companion, Sarge.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap. will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fond du Lac.

Family and friends may call at the church in St. Cloud on Saturday, March 14th from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

The St. Cloud American Legion Auxiliary will have a brief service at the church at 11:00 AM Saturday morning.

I have been praying for Henrietta since I met her @ Maximillons for Forever Plaid. It was the sad day she found out she had cancer. She was the most upbeat person, & such an easy person to talk to. I have had her in my prayers ever since. I always wished I could see her again. My deepest condolences to the family You truley had a wonderful wife & mother, Grandmother. I'm sure she is in heaven with all of her loved ones.

Although I won't see you again here on earth, you will always and forever live on in my memories.
