Lorier, Jack

Jack E. Lorier, 77, of Sheboygan passed away early Monday morning November 30, 2015 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice with his wife, daughters and son-in-law at his side. Jack fought a courageous battle with lung cancer for the past 14 months. He was born November 16, 1938 in Sheboygan to the late Joseph and Marie (Kramer) Lorier. He attended local schools in Sheboygan graduating from Central High School in 1957.

Jack joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1957, stationed six months at Camp Pendleton, CA, following up with six years of reserve duty with the 9th Marine Corps Rescue and Recruitment District in Oshkosh.

On March 12, 1960 Jack married Joan Petrauski, the love his life, they were married 55 years. He worked at Rodewald Buick in the accounting department and service department for 44 years. Jack also leased and worked at the north side Dairy Queen for many summers in his earlier years.

He enjoyed playing basketball and also coached a girl's team and a boy's team with the recreational department. His other activities and interests included bowling, camping with his family on many vacations, local and out of state, and hunting camp for over 30 years. His favorite hobby was looking for golf balls and making things out of them including a Packer life-sized tractor. Watching Packer, Brewer and Badger games were always a must!

Special trips were enjoyed with his wife including Hawaii and "up north" many times. He also enjoyed casino trips and getting together with all of his in-laws.

He was a devoted husband and caring and loving father to his three daughters, "grandpa Jack" to six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Jack had a special talent for making people laugh and hopes to be remembered for doing so.

Survivors include his loving wife Joan; daughters Jane (Terry) Renzelmann of Hubbardston, MA, Jenine Lowe of Sheboygan, Joyce (Ray) Schill of Sheboygan; grandchildren Brooke and Aaron Renzelmann, Sarah and Alyssa Woelfel, Briana Stahl and Brady Lowe; four great-grandchildren Azrielle, Sekora, Riley and Aubrey; sisters Diane (Clarence) Lampkins of Poynette, WI, Joan (Robert) Achsel of Sheboygan; father-in-law Tony Petrauski; four brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law and their spouses.
