John Eisner Obituary

John Frederick Eisner

John Eisner, born January 15, 1957 and son of Frederick A. and Edith Dorothy (Sears Eisner) Schnorr, passed away on Sunday April 5th after fighting multiple heath issues for years.

John is survived by his sister Janice Davies of Sheboygan, and a large extended family on his mother's side in Didcot, Oxfordshire, England.

He graduated from Sheboygan South High in 1975 and studied business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

John lived nearly all his life in the Sheboygan area but enjoyed travelling, especially to his mother's homeland of England.

Always known for a very quick wit and seeing the humorous side of life, he performed as a professional comedian in the United States and Canada, and also worked on television sitcom screenplays. He later joined the family real estate business, and most recently worked with Coldwell Bankers in Sheboygan.

John was a star tennis player on the Sheboygan South team, and an enthusiastic scuba diver and kayaker. He was a big fan of the jazz-rock group Chicago and the pioneering woman newscaster Jane Pauly.

He loved animals and was a long-time caretaker of rescue cats and dogs. Accordingly, donations in his memory are being accepted by the Humane Society of Sheboygan County (3107 N. 20th St., Sheboygan, WI 53207). Please mail checks with the memo "John Eisner" or donate online at https://adoptsheboygancounty.org/donate/ inputting "John Eisner" under "Tribute Name").

Our sympathies to Johns family. What a guy! So many fun and fond memories of our old work bowling teams - we had so much fun and John always kept us laughing! He had a heart of gold and though its been a few years since we last saw him, it was always good to see him and share those happy times. May he be in peace ~

Janice, Please accept my sympathy. John and I were members of the local Optimist clubs (noon & evening respectively) and we shared some great times together supporting the youth of Sheboygan.

I worked with John at HHSD. I loved his witty humor! We used to sit in his office and talk about England. He was quite a storyteller! About a year ago he told me that when he dies, he will finally have time to write a book. Happy writing, John! Can't wait to read it!
