John York Obituary

John Wayne York

Sheboygan - John Wayne York, 69, passed away at his home on June 28th, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born in Hammond, IN. to Luther and Norma Jean York. He served in the Vietnam War and worked as a tradesman most of his life. John loved westerns and riding his Harley. He lived life as he chose. He was a good man and had a great sense of humor until the end.

John is survived by his wife Celia, son John Wesley, children from a previous marriage, brother Scott (Dona) York, mother-in-law Carmela Torres, sister-in-law Cindy (Andy) Conroy, brother-in-law Mickey (Suzie) Torres. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

John is proceeded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and father-in-law Herman Torres.

Family and friends may join us to celebrate John's life north of Kings Park at Sheboygan Kite Beach August 11th at 2:00 pm with Eulogy given by Bruce Henry and with military honors. The Cremation of Society of WI served the family as well as Ballhorn Chapel.

A memorial fund is being established in his name.

John's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the VA Medical Center of Milwaukee and Vitas Hospice.

John fought a courageous battle with cancer. He is loved and missed very much. Until we meet again, Rest In Peace. Your Loving Family & Friends.
